      Summary: We do not collect, store, or share any personal data. Your API keys are stored locally on your device only. Queries are sent directly to Anthropic and Google APIs — never to us.
    

1. What This Extension Does

Find That Video / Find That Music is a Chrome extension that helps users identify songs and videos they cannot remember by name. Users describe what they remember, and the extension queries the Anthropic Claude API and YouTube Data API to suggest matches.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store:

Personal information of any kind
Search queries or descriptions you type
Browsing history or activity
API keys you enter
Usage statistics or analytics

There is no backend server. No data is ever sent to us.

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The extension stores the following data in chrome.storage.local — on your device only, never transmitted:

Claude API Key — your Anthropic API key, used to call the AI identification service
YouTube Data API Key — your Google API key, used to search YouTube
Language preference — Thai or English (UI setting only)
Mode preference — Video or Music (UI setting only)

You can clear this data at any time by removing the extension or clearing extension storage via Chrome settings.

4. Third-Party API Calls

When you perform a search, the extension makes direct API calls from your browser to:

Anthropic Claude API (api.anthropic.com)
Your search description is sent to identify possible matches. Anthropic's privacy policy applies: anthropic.com/privacy
YouTube Data API v3 (googleapis.com)
Search queries are sent to retrieve video results and thumbnails. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy

These calls are made directly from your browser using your own API keys. We have no visibility into these requests.

5. Permissions Justification

storage — to save your API keys and preferences locally on your device
host_permissions (api.anthropic.com) — to call the Claude AI API for song/video identification
host_permissions (googleapis.com) — to call YouTube Data API v3 for search results

6. Children's Privacy

This extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
